Supplement brands that make their own
Tablets, capsules, powders and protein blends.
Extracts and premixes held until they pass, batches released against the label claim, capsule fillers and tablet presses on a schedule, and every lot traceable to the customer. Tathven Agentic ERP runs a supplement maker from the dispensing booth to the dispatched carton.

Making supplements for other brands, batch by batch.
Supplying extracts and vitamin premixes to the trade.
A herbal extract arrives with the supplier’s certificate. It goes into a batch before the lab has tested it, and the problem shows up in the finished product.
Quality-controlled items arrive on hold until a person with the clearance right releases them, with a reason. Ready-made test sheets come with the catalogue: herbal-extract receipt (identity, marker assay, loss on drying, heavy metals, description and plate count) and capsule-shell receipt (size and colour, shell weight, disintegration and the supplier’s certificate). Results that fall outside the limits open an out-of-specification investigation.
A batch is packed and waiting. Whether it met its label claim is in a lab notebook, and the certificate is typed by hand for each customer.
The supplement batch-release sheet tests label-claim assay, fill weight, microbial limits, labelling and appearance against your limits. A certificate of analysis is issued for the lot from the recorded results and filed in Tathven AI Workspaces.
A raw-material lot is suspect. Finding every batch that used it, and every customer that received them, takes days.
Each finished lot is linked to the input lots it used. The recall view traces a lot, or the supplier’s batch code, to every customer and parcel it reached. Customer returns go back against the lots they were dispatched from.
Supplements carry a best-before date. Older lots are left behind and found when they are already out of date.
Items can be batch-tracked with a shelf life and a minimum shelf life on receipt. Goods issue picks first-expiry-first, and a weekly mail lists the lots close to expiry.
Ask “which lots expire in the next 60 days, and where are they?”
Broken capsules, fill-weight swings and label errors are fixed on the line and forgotten.
Defect reports come ready with nutraceutical types: assay out of specification, fill-weight variation, broken or dented capsule, microbial limit exceeded and label claim error. Each carries the root cause and the corrective and preventive actions, and a Pareto view shows which defects keep coming back.
The formula lives in a spreadsheet, and each batch is charged from memory.
Each product has a bill of materials per operation, with the wastage you expect at each step. The catalogue brings the operations a supplement plant runs: dispensing, sifting, blending, granulation, fluid-bed drying, compression, coating, capsule filling, blister packing, bottle filling and capping, and QC release. A formula used by a live production order is locked.
Machines are booked on a whiteboard, and a stoppage for cleaning or a late blend is never written down.
Blenders, granulators, tablet presses, capsule fillers and coating pans are work centres with their calendars, and production orders are scheduled on a board. The shop floor screen records runs, good and rejected quantities, and the reason for every stop, with downtime reasons ready for the trade: capsule filler fault, tablet press breakdown, changeover cleaning, blend awaited and assay result awaited. Utilisation and OEE show how much of each machine’s time made good product.
Ask “which production orders are running late, and why?” The assistant prepares a reschedule or overtime for you to confirm.
Extract and premix prices move, and the product cost on file is months old.
Costing orders work out the cost of a batch from the formula, machine hours, wastage and overhead, and suggest a sale price. The cost-drift view shows which products have moved away from their standard cost.
Capsule shells or one extract run out and the line stops.
Material planning works out what open orders need against stock and open purchases, and proposes purchase and production orders for you to confirm. Reorder points are checked every night.
Ask “what should I reorder this week?” and the assistant prepares the purchase order for you to confirm.
Distributors buy on credit, and cartons leave before anyone checks the money.
Every buyer has its own credit days and limit, and an order is cleared for dispatch only when it is paid or within credit terms. Discount schemes are set once and attached to the buyer. GST returns are built from the tax ledger, and purchases are reconciled against GSTR-2B.
Receipt holds and release, ready test sheets for extracts, capsule shells and batch release, out-of-spec investigations, certificates of analysis.
